MEF incoming LS (Nov. 11) on MEF-84 Network slicing

  • Announced the publication of MEF 84 Network Slice Service and Attributes. It noted that:
    • This standard specifies Network Slicing in the context of MEF Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) and MEF Services.
    • Key concepts of Network Slicing, Network Slices and Network Services are described.
    • Network Services as defined in this Standard enables Service Providers to offer Network Slices in the Service Provider domain as Services to Subscribers in the Customer domain.
    • The focus is on the Subscriber visible aspects of the Service Provider’s internal Network Slices
  • Nigel to post the LS on OIMT Liaison Statements page
  • Comments/concerns, if any, could be discussed in future call.

  • Discussion occurred on the architectural distinction and modeling distinction of Link and FC, and recursion of FC.
