Welcome to the ONOS/CORD ONF Ambassadors Program!
The Ambassadors Program is designed to empower anyone who is passionate and knowledgeable about ONOS and/or CORD, , CORD or any ONF project or initiative and who wants to promote either project in their region and build a strong local community around itthese in their part of the world. The program provides a simple framework and a specific set of tools to help you organize and/or attend events, recruit and mentor new contributors and also better support your a local community. When joining the program, an Ambassador agrees to take on some or all of the following responsibilities:
- represent ONOS/CORD communities /ONF locally
- promote the ONOS/CORD projects and ON.Lab’s an ONF project and the ONF's mission
- inspire, recruit and support new contributors
- document clearly all his/her activities for the benefit of the broader community
The program is run by Ambassadors for Ambassadors and is open to anyone who is:
- passionate about the ONOS/CORD project ONF project(s)
- knowledgeable of the ONOS/CORD projects and networking technology in general
- keen to engage with and inspire new people to contribute ONOS/CORD
As stated above, Ambassadors must be knowledgeable of the ONOS/CORD projects at least one ONF project and networking technology in general. The Ambassadors program is NOT a stepping stone into the ONOS/CORD community or in the SDN/NFV world, but rather, a program to empower existing community members.

The Ambassador program is a community-driven program that empowers scores of individuals around the world. It is managed by the Ambassadors (volunteers and paid staff) for the Ambassadors.
