Discussion held in WTP call on 25/4/2018:
- Several vendors and operators expressed interest in having such use case in the 5th PoC (no formal decision made)
- Vendors do neither individual no operator specific pre-configurations before shipping the devices
- There is a unique serial number imprinted on every device
- Identification of the hardware could also be made by MAC address of the management port
- Automated Commissioning must be done via management port, because user plane ports are not available in initial state
- Exchanging public keys instead of username/password would be preferred
- The device will accept valid certificates of every owner in the initial state
- The device needs to be configured to accept only certificates of the operator, who is owning it
