Continued the discussion on 3R scenario.

  • Agreed that the Transponder to Transponder Service is an ODUk or ODUCn Serial Compound Link Connectivity Service.
  • Agreed that the S1 and S2 CSEPs shall refer to ODUk or ODUCn CEP.
  • Agreed that the intermediate CSEP (S3...6) are not necessary for the simple 3R use case, which can be fulfilled by routing constraints, e.g. including NEP of a 3R Node. In other words, S1 and S2 CSEPs provide enough information to the server controller for the provisioning of the 3R Nodes.
    • For further study the specification of constraints on parameters related to transit OTSi Connections, i.e. connecting 3R Nodes.
    • For further study more complex use cases where the 3R Node needs dedicated provisioning to allocate resources.
  • Noted that the below picture provides a simplified view of photonic network, the MC is actually an OTSiMC.
    • The provisioning of ODUk/ODUCn Serial Compound Link CS may drive the creation of OTSiMCA Connections - i.e. the allocation of proper bw portion(s) of existing MC Connections.

Delivery of 2.1.3 "patch"?

Andrea Mazzini asks about the feasibility of a 2.1.3 patch version, in a couple of weeks or so, to include minor changes which are very useful to ongoing implementations.

Arturo Mayoral is working on the updated version of RIA, there is a list of corrections which can be included in that 2.1.3 patch version.
