Andrea Mazzini presents otcc2020.AM.001_TAPI_Photonic_Model_Evolution.pptx, three possible alternative solutions concerning the model of OTU/OTSiA and OTSi CSEPs.

  • After some discussion, agreed the first option, see figure below:

  • This solution implies that the OtuConnectivityServiceEndPointSpec, defined in TapiOdu model, includes also OTSiA related configuration parameters, if any.
    • Another consequence is that OTSiA related OAM (e.g. OTSiG-O non associated OH) is managed by a dedicated package of OTU MEP.
    • Concerning totalPowerWarnThresholdUpper/Lower some further analysis is necessary: Ronald indicates that they likely apply only to OTSiA routed in a super channel, we also need to clarify if and how the super channel option can be managed from Transponder side.
  • Ramon Casellas asks whether the model allows navigation from OTU to the supporting OTSi(s). Arturo Mayoral confirms the feasibility of navigation, but also that some additional "group" related info can be useful on the OTSi CEPs.
  • With reference to MCA model, it is agreed a similar model for MCA and MC CSEPs:

  • Malcolm Betts proposes to add provisioning scenario for the evaluation of the CSEP lifecycle. As a first assumption, the "regen" CSEPs (S3...6) are never created by server controller. Common UCs include the provisioning of 3R to an existing OTU CS and the restoration driven by server controller.
  • Malcolm Betts clarifies that once the OTU type is chosen, then it drives also the ODU supported container:
    • OTUk → ODUk, k=1,2,3,4
    • OTU_CN → ODU_CN
  • Agreed the added value of a ODUk or ODUCn tunnel:
